Every year, the Urban League along with other agencies in the Metro East are able to help many residents of the St. Clair County communities with their utility costs through Heat Up St. Louis.  Heat Up St. Louis raises funds throughout the year to provide this service.  One of their biggest fundraisers is the Hardee’s Rise & Shine.  This year, Hardee’s Rise & Shine is Friday, February 12th and we need your help!

Hardee’s will sale their sausage biscuits and egg biscuits for $1.00 each.  The proceeds will go to Heat Up St. Louis.  There are two ways to help!  The first way is to volunteer at a participating Hardee’s for 45 minutes to an hour.  The funds that are raised during this time is what help us to help this community with utility assistance.  The volunteer hours are between 6:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.  We will provide all volunteers with a mask and a pair of latex gloves.  Heat Up St. Louis will provide aprons and/or canisters for each volunteer.

Below is a list of participating Hardees

  • O’Fallon 1 – 110 East Highway 50, 62269
  • Mt. Vernon 2 – 4333 Broadway, 62864

The other way to help is to stop by a Hardees on that day and purchase their $1 sausage and/or $1 egg biscuit sandwich.  Again, all proceeds go to Heat Up St. Louis.  The breakfast sandwiches can also be ordered in advance for bulk orders.  If you are interested in doing a bulk order for your office, staff, family or friends, take a look at this link https://heatupstlouis.org/hardees-pre-order/.   Your purchases will help increase opportunities for agencies like the Urban League to help seniors, low to no income families, disabled individuals and others receive help on their utility bill.
